More About Me

My name is Ellett Snead have been playing bluegrass banjo since the early 1970's. I had the privilege in my late teens to give banjo lessons at Picker's Supply in Fredericksburg. I have since given lessons off and on at my home.

The first lesson/consultation is free as we discuss your level, your goals, where we would start, etc. After that it is your decision if you think I am the right teacher for you.

My style is greatly influenced by Scruggs, Reno, Adcock, with some melodic mixed in. I can write tablature particularly for the beginner but would rather see students get away from it quickly. I am also willing to video the picking of the lesson and send it to you via email within a day or so of your lesson.
